Toddler Room Staff

Rachel Marszalek

My name is Rachel Marszalek and I am a Toddler teacher here at LHC4kids.

I have been employed with Lake Harriet since October of 2004. I began working in child care centers in February 2001 after receiving a diploma in Child Development from Rasmussen College.

My two sons and I reside in Hopkins. Rayshawn is currently enrolled in the Preschool program at Lake Harriet while his brother, Isaiah, is in the infant room.

The toddler room provides a structured day that allows children to learn not only through play, but also through daily art projects, sensory stimulation, and small group activities including color recognition and beginning Spanish vocabulary. We offer a wide variety of activities to fit all children’s learning styles.

Veronica Acevedo

Veronica has been an Assistant Teacher in the Toddler room since May of 2002. Aside Rachel she helps provide the toddlers with multi-cultural activities through art, sensory stimulation, small group work, and one-on-one instruction.

Veronica loves to sing songs with the children and has 3 children of her own that attend the school in the public school system.
