 Lake Harriet Christian Child Care Center is a non-profit center operated by the Board of Directors.
We encourage parents to bring concerns and comments to the teaching staff that cares for your child. If for any reason you are unable to do so or uncomfortable speaking with the teacher, please feel free to discuss the concerns with the Directory.
The Child Care Board of Directors is made up of teachers and Director, as they are the people most able to address your concerns and take action in a timely manner. The Child Care Board of Directors meets monthly. These meetings are open to all and we encourage parents to attend. Three voting parent members sit on the committee.
Lake Harriet Christian Child Care Center has a security system by which all visitors must be "buzzed in" by the infant room staff. Staff do not admit unknown persons without first speaking with them through an intercom and determining that they should be admitted. Staff use caution in admitting unauthorized or incapacitated persons and can refuse entrance to such individuals if they deem necessary.
- Unauthorized Persons - Parents are asked on the registration form if there is anyone who MAY NOT pick up a child. Staff are informed of those people who MAY Not pick up a child.
- Incapacitated Persons - Under no circumstances will staff allow a child to leave with a person who is noticeably incapacitated.
- No one picks up a child - The center closes at 6:00 p.m. Reasonable attempts will be made to reach authorized contacts for the child until 7p.m. at which time the Director will work with authorities for the best welfare of the child.
